Last Sunday the under 12c season got back under way with a Kevin Moran cup second round match v. Clontarf FC.
The game started at a blistering pace with goals for both sides in the first 10 minutes. Jamie Lawlors headed goal following some fine approach work was probably our best goal of the season. However Willows soon settled down and scored five times without reply before half time with goals from Mario Bowden, Aaron Hand (2), Aaron Daly and a lovely headed goal from Liam Williams. The second half was always going to be hard to keep the pace going, Clontarf scored twice quickly and our players started to show some tiredness. However they dug in deep and with another goal by Mario Bowden from a 20 yard free kick, Jamie Lawlor bagging his second goal l and Aaron Hand completing his hat trick Willows finished off the game with some comfort. Team:Jordan Clarke:Solid game Chris Cassidy: some crunching takles in second half Cathal Duignan:usual confident display David Cummins:Let nothing get past him Warren Lawless:Good organising in the middle Jamie Lawlor:improving with every game Sean Dunne:great support in midfield Aaron Daly:covered every square inch of the pitch Aaron Hand:Hatrick hero Mario Bowden:Free kick goal capped great performance Liam Williams:Lovely goal ,showed fine skill on left wing Aaron Gibbons:good running ,had a few chances Ryan O'Leary:Came on and fought well in midfield ![]() Posted on 08 Mar 2010 by newsadmin
